SEOSEPE meeting with Secretary General of Commerce Mr. Sotirios Anagnostopoulos.

After a long period of waiting, a meeting of the representatives of the Association was held, in which the President Mr. Pantelis Kariotis, the Secretary General Mr. Panagiotis Zachos and the Treasurer Mr. Michalis Asitzoglou participated. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Development and Investments, at Kanigos Square, following the invitation of the Secretary General of Commerce Mr. Sotirios Anagnostopoulos and his advisor Mr. Pitsilis.

The Agenda of the discussion had been determined and announced in advance, long before last June, and included serious and critical issues that directly concern the sector.

Among other things, the practices of foreign Electronic Stores and domestic market places were discussed, which create Unfair Competition in our market and in the companies participating in the Association.

The lack of subsidized NSRF programs for companies in the field regarding the replacement of equipment with a green footprint and digital transformation throughout Greece and more specifically in ATTIKI, the prefecture of Thessaloniki and other major cities in the country.

The lack of access of companies in the sector to Leasing programs of Systemic banks for the renewal of equipment, as is the case in all European countries.

Many other sectoral issues that require attention, dialogue, information and understanding from the Ministry and the state were also discussed in order to achieve substantial development and solutions.

The Association informed the Secretary General of Commerce about its actions, about the successful organization of the AVMUSIC SHOW 2025 exhibition, about the challenges and opportunities of Conference Tourism, Exhibition Tourism that appear in our country and concern the subject of participation of the sector and that need additional attention and support, also announcing the intentions of the Association for the organization of the AVMUSIC SHOW 2027 for which the State's assistance can be catalytic.

The meeting lasted over an hour and a half and took place in an excellent atmosphere, creating expectations regarding the topics of dialogue and discussion, expecting that they will help businesses in the sector, while it became clear from both sides that communication will be repeated whenever necessary.
